Degree Pathways is operated by Jacobus Company, LLC ("we," "us"). Effective date: July 22, 2026.
By using Degree Pathways (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is intended for users 18 years of age and older.
The Service is an informational tool that presents publicly available education and workforce data — fields of study, degree counts, reported graduate earnings and debt, related occupations — to help students explore their options. Core features are free for personal, non-commercial use. An optional one-time 12-month pass unlocks premium features — PDF export, CSV export, and the comparison tools — for twelve months from issue. A single pass may be activated on up to five devices. It is not a subscription: it never auto-renews, we never charge you again, and it simply lapses at the end of its term unless you choose to purchase a new pass. If you misplace your license key, you can retrieve it anytime through the customer portal. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor (acting as merchant of record); pass fees are non-refundable except as required by law or the processor’s buyer policy.
The Service does not provide academic, career, financial, or legal advice; it does not guarantee admission to, availability of, or outcomes from any program or career; and it is not a substitute for your school's official catalog, academic advisors, or financial aid office. Always confirm program details with your institution before making decisions.
The Service's design, text, and code are the property of Jacobus Company, LLC. Underlying datasets are drawn from public sources (see Methods & Sources) and remain subject to their own terms; O*NET® is a trademark of the U.S. Department of Labor. School names and colors are used solely to identify institutions and imply no affiliation or endorsement.
You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt it, misrepresent its outputs as guarantees, scrape it at abusive volume, or use it in a way that violates applicable law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jacobus Company, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time. Passes grant access to the Service as it exists during the pass term, and premium features may evolve. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Jacobus Company, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: contact Jacobus Company, LLC at support@julieclarkson.com.
Informational use only. Everything in Degree Pathways is general information, not advice, and not a promise about your future. Earnings figures are medians for past graduates drawn from public datasets — they describe groups, not individuals, they lag the calendar by several years, and your own results will differ based on countless factors no tool can capture.
Data limitations. Fields of study are the official categories institutions report degrees under; a school's own program names, offerings, and admission requirements may differ. Earnings reflect graduates who received federal financial aid, and figures for small programs are withheld by the source for privacy — where we show a national figure instead, it is labeled as such. We refresh data on a schedule but cannot guarantee any figure is current or error-free.
No affiliation. Degree Pathways is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any college, university, or government agency. School names and colors appear only to identify institutions.
Verify before you act. Before choosing, declaring, or changing a major — or making any financial decision — confirm details with your school's official catalog, advisors, and financial aid office.
The short version: what you explore stays in your browser — we don't save or review it. For continued free access after a few explorations, we collect your email through MailerLite (double opt-in) to confirm access and send occasional newsletters and product updates.
Your chosen school, filters, comparisons, and saved favorites are processed entirely in your browser and are not sent to us or stored in any customer database. There is no password and no account. After a few free explorations, continued free use asks for your email (below) or a paid pass — but what you explore is never linked to your email or sent anywhere.
Everyone can run a few explorations with no email and no payment. To keep exploring for free after that, you can join our newsletter: you enter your email, we create your subscription in MailerLite using double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link we email you), and once confirmed we store a signed cookie in your browser that remembers your access for about a year. That cookie contains no email address or personal data — only a signed token that means “this browser has confirmed access.” A small anonymous counter in your browser tracks how many explorations you’ve completed (a number only — never what you explored). Your email is used to confirm access and to send occasional newsletters, product announcements, and offers; unsubscribe anytime from any email. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails and does not revoke access you’ve already been granted.
If you choose to enter your email in the "Notify me about updates" form, that email is sent to our email service provider (MailerLite) solely so we can send you occasional updates about this product and other Julie Clarkson products, typically 1–2 emails a month. Signup uses double opt-in: you only join the list after clicking the confirmation link we email you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, we never sell or share your address, and subscribing is never required to use the Service. The same double opt-in applies whether you sign up from the newsletter box or from the continued-free-access prompt; in both cases we store only your email (in the “Degree Pathways — Free Access” group), never anything you explore.
If you buy a pass, the payment is handled entirely by our payment processor — we never receive or store your card details. When you activate a pass, your key is sent to our payment provider (Polar) to confirm it is valid; the validated key is then stored in your browser on your own device to keep premium features unlocked for its 12-month term. We never see your card details.
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse; we do not use it to identify you. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting font files from Google; links to external sites (your school, O*NET, College Scorecard) are governed by those sites' own policies once you leave ours.
To delete your email from our list, unsubscribe from any email or contact support@julieclarkson.com; we keep your email only while you’re subscribed. Because we don’t store your explorations, there is nothing else to delete. Questions about this policy: support@julieclarkson.com.
The Service is directed to users 18 and older and does not knowingly collect information from children.
